Print Books
Is there a way to print books for cheap?
I wrote my own book and I’d like to order 500 copies to start. I refuse to do self-publishing.
“Ordering” 500 copies would be self-publishing, whether you just went to kinkos and printed 500 copies yourself or whether you paid a company that actually referred to itself that way. All “self-publishing” means is that you are printing (and presumably marketing) the book yourself.
If you plan to send the book to a publisher, then don’t order any copies. Submit your manuscript in accordance to the publisher’s guidelines (usually listed as “submission guidelines”). This should be a free process. If the manuscript is accepted you will be paid for it and will probably receive a certain number of personal copies.
